There's a Lotto similarities between Gareth and Steve

WONDERING what Gareth Barry must be feeling like now? Well here's the answer - Steve Moseley.

For those of you that don't remember, Moseley was the mug who told his boss to stick his job after winning the lottery a couple of years ago.

The only problem was Steve hadn't won. He'd misread his 'lucky' £1 million Lotto scratchcard and he had to grovel to get his job back!

Given the way Barry's move to Liverpool has panned out in recent weeks, the Villa captain must be able to sympathise with stupid Steve.

Barry effectively told Martin O'Neill to "stick it" with his venomous verbal attack in a national newspaper, only to encounter problems with his ticket to Anfield (although in fairness, the Villa stalwart did stop short of dancing on his desk and ordering champagne like Steve).

Whereas Moseley mistook a 16 for a 15 on his scratchcard, Rafa Benitez still seems to be mistaking £18m for £15m with his bid for Barry.

The clueless car salesman, like the claret and blue skipper, was allowed back to work, but sadly there wasn't a happy ending.

Moseley finally quit his job for real when the relentless jibes from his colleagues became too much to take.
Dread to think what the banter's like at Bodymoor, let alone the vitriol at Villa Park, Gaz!
