Joey Barton For Villa????
According to a National Newspaper today it was Villa who tried to sign Barton on deadline day and apparently we remain interested in him?!
Personally I just can't see it, bearing in mind all his baggage plus the fact we are now so strong in the midfield department.
If in the unlikely event this is true would you want Barton at Villa park??

No way, absolutley not! Joey Barton is a thug whos had far too many chances in football! If we did sign him, i really would go as far as boycotting the club!

I can imagine the vast majority of fans would react in exactly the same way Phil. I can only imagine this is paper talk as it makes no sense on so many levels.
Not a chance! Far too much baggage. And like you, Howard, I just can't see MON being interested in him.
Putting all the Barton arguments to one side, is it likely? Seeing as we have:
Barry, Reo-Coker, Petrov, Sidwell, Salfo, osbourne and Gardner all vieing for the central midfield spots.
