Pity the Villa fans caught in the middle of a three car pile-up just shy of junction 16 on the M6 at around 11.30am.
Not only did they lose the roof of their car, the fire service had kindly removed that to get them out, but they also missed a four goal thrashing of Wigan.
Would they be more upset about the car or the loss of an away trip?

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has revealed that he has had an assurance from John Carew that his midweek misdemeanours in a Birmingham lap dancing club will never be repeated.
O'Neill confirmed the striker had been given a "hefty" fine, was suitably delighted with his Norwegian international striker's contribution in creating one goal and scoring another himself after coming off the bench in Villa's 4-0 annihilation of Steve Bruce's Wigan Athletic.
But he made it clear that, while the matter of Carew being spotted by fans out in Broad Street's Rocket Club on the morning of Villa's Uefa Cup clash with Ajax had been a problem, it had now been dealt with without souring the relationship between the pair.
SO that's Alan Hansen on Match of the Day and the bloke from Coral bookmakers on TalkSport this morning who have given Martin O'Neill's men their backing for the title.
Apparently, the boys in claret and blue are favourites to triumph over everyone else.
Everyone else that is, apart from the big four.

HE might have missed out on a call-up this time around, but it seems Ashley Young is very much on Fabio Capello's mind.
Not only has the England boss sent the Villa flyer a letter informing him that he is in contention for Three Lions selection.
Capello also continually referred to Ashley Cole as Ashley Young during a post-match interview following the Kazakhstan qualifier.
No, Fabio, when Young creates goals with impeccable balls from near the touchline, it's usually his own team that benefits, not the opposition.
And you might want to remember that next time you pick an England squad without a proven left-winger.
It seems one time Aston Villa defender Earl Barrett is looking to follow the example of David Beckham.
The England man has recently revealed that he wants to own a club after he hangs up his boots.
But it seems Barrett is hoping to beat Becks to the punch.
