IT wasn't the result anyone had hoped for at Villa Park. Here, we look at what happened:

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has revealed that he has had an assurance from John Carew that his midweek misdemeanours in a Birmingham lap dancing club will never be repeated.
O'Neill confirmed the striker had been given a "hefty" fine, was suitably delighted with his Norwegian international striker's contribution in creating one goal and scoring another himself after coming off the bench in Villa's 4-0 annihilation of Steve Bruce's Wigan Athletic.
But he made it clear that, while the matter of Carew being spotted by fans out in Broad Street's Rocket Club on the morning of Villa's Uefa Cup clash with Ajax had been a problem, it had now been dealt with without souring the relationship between the pair.
ASTON Villa newcomer James Milner has paid tribute to team-mate Gareth Barry and highlighted the midfielder's progress into the England squad as the blueprint he hopes to follow.
Milner joined Villa last month in a £12 million move from troubled Newcastle and immediately cited Barry as the sort of player he believes he can learn from as he attempts to forge an impressive career with his new club, and, ultimately, with Fabio Capello's senior squad.
Milner, aged 22, is now the most capped player in Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 side with 38 caps and hopes to have caught the eye of Capello with his performances of late including his composed penalty strike against Portugal in the European Championships' qualifiers last week at Wembley.
